Experience

  1. Lead Data Engineer · SoftServe

    Jan 2026 – now

Lead Software Engineer (L4), Big Data practice

    • Lead data engineer on a payer-owned platform replacing manual, partner-dependent Medicare Advantage risk adjustment. Led architecture from discovery through design and implementation planning
    • Designed a Databricks platform with Clinical, Retrieval, Coding and OPS domains, and a secure partner exchange on Azure (ADLS, SFTP, Delta Sharing)
    • Retrieval and coding workflow orchestration, data domain modeling and operational auditability (Kafka, FastAPI, Kubernetes, Postgres)
    • Stakeholder technical discussions, implementation strategy and coordination of the engineering workstream
    • Delivered the Snowflake clinical proof of concept: data sharing, replication, and extraction of audit results, page types and face-to-face evidence for coding QA
  2. Senior Data Engineer · SoftServe

    Aug 2024 – Dec 2025

Senior Software Engineer (L3), Big Data practice

    • Technical and workstream lead for the Regrouping Engine, which consolidates chase requests by user-defined rules: processing went from several hours to under a minute for most workloads
    • Health-sector social app for a small US pharmaceutical company, serving patients with a rare disease in the US and Canada: database and infrastructure design, central warehouse and event data integration (Aurora PostgreSQL, Redshift, dbt)
    • ML recommendation pipelines on AWS Personalize and headless BI on Metabase, deployed with ECS / Docker, Terraform and CodePipeline
    • Snowflake clinical platform proof of concept: streams, tasks, procedures and external stages for event-driven processing of clinical documents for coding QA
    • Took ownership of architecture components, client-facing delivery and production implementation decisions
  3. Data Engineer · SoftServe

    Jun 2022 – Jul 2024

Middle Software Engineer (L2), Big Data practice

    • Hoverstate, Jun 2022 – Jun 2023: designed ingestion of FHIR, C-CDA, medical notes and PDFs into Snowflake, normalized to the OMOP model, with file-arrival notifications and secure views (AWS S3, SNS, Flyway, Textract, Comprehend Medical)
    • A dbt framework with reusable staging and BI layers from Azure Storage and SQL Server into Snowflake, deployed with Docker and Azure Scheduler
    • Low-latency medical-record retrieval between retrieval partners and healthcare entities on AWS Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB and OpenSearch
    • Data modeling, index design, data-quality tooling and synthetic data generation, with infrastructure in Terraform
    • Moved from implementing under project guidance to owning defined technical components
  4. Data Engineer · 027Capital

    Aug 2021 – Jun 2022

    Strategic advisory and analytics firm

    • Designed and built the company's serverless Google Cloud platform from the first design through deployment: Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, VMs and storage to receive, process and serve client data
    • End-to-end pipelines from client CRM and ERP systems, databases and files, adapting mapping, transformation and validation to each client's schema, orchestrated with Airflow and cron jobs to keep BI dashboards refreshed
    • FastAPI services linking databases, buckets and front ends, with input validation and protection against SQL injection and XSS
    • Automated business metrics for management and clients: churn, MRR, CLV, cohorts and survival analysis, plus price-volume-mix and clustering work
    • Docker and CI/CD with Cloud Build; grew from building infrastructure to proposing architectures, writing estimates and coaching the team
  5. Data Scientist · EY

    Jan 2021 – Aug 2021

    Business Modeling & Data Analytics

    • Owned the data workflows behind the practice's analyses, from multi-source ingestion and ETL through validation, modeling and presentation
    • Built a structured database of professional soccer players from web sources (Python, BeautifulSoup, Selenium, Requests, Linux), then modeled market value with regression and classification (scikit-learn, PyCaret, feature engineering, ensembles)
    • Data-preparation and quality automation in Python, Alteryx, VBA and Excel to consolidate sources and flag inconsistencies
    • Dashboards in Power BI (DAX) and Python, turning business requirements into deliverables for managers and clients
  6. Due Diligence · EY

    May 2019 – Dec 2020

    Senior Consultant, Strategy and Transactions

    • Financial due diligence for corporate and private-equity clients in healthcare, education and agribusiness, progressing from Consultant to Senior Consultant
    • Healthcare groups (hospitals, labs, imaging, oncology, ophthalmology): reconciled accounting, billing, production, receivables and payer data to assess payer concentration, insurance denials, bad debt, normalized profitability and working capital
    • Built reusable automation for AP/AR aging and multi-file consolidation (Python, Power Query, Alteryx, Power BI), adopted across engagements and kept in use by the team
  7. Assurance · EY

    Oct 2017 – May 2019

    Consultant, Retail & Consumer Products

    • External audit for retail and consumer-products clients: walkthroughs, tests of controls, substantive testing and analytical reviews
    • On one of the first teams to adopt EY's audit analytics tools, using full-population data to speed up testing
    • Documented work papers and findings for review by managers and partners, building the Excel and data habits that led into due diligence
